Programs For Ages 5 to 14

 1. Creative Clay Camps for Kids:

Your kids will enjoy a week of testing their imaginations while exploring the possibilities of clay, while learning different hand building and glazing techniques. Our professional instructors will guide them through various hand building techniques such as slab, pinch pot and coil. They will learn how to alter their forms, add creative embellishments and glaze their artwork while learning the working of a functional pottery studio.

 

 

  • Monday through Thursday
  • 9:30 to 12:00 pm
  • Ages 8 to 14
  • $85 per child (multiple session/child discount – $80 per child for multiple session or additional child signup from the same family)

2 sessions to choose from:

  • Session 1: June 25-28
  • Session 2: July 23-26

2. Clay-ing Through The Seasons

July 9th -12th (Monday – Thursday)
9:00 am-12:00 pm

Ages 8 – 12

Celebrate the holidays all in one week while learning basic hand building techniques with our unique 4 day clay workshop. Kids will create different holiday themed pieces each day Monday to Wednesday and glaze and finish all pieces on Thursday. Themed holidays could include Halloween, Christmas/Winter, Valentines Day and Easter.

Fee:  $85 per child (multiple child discounts – $80 per child for additional child signup from the same family.)

3. Mommy & Me /  Daddy & Me

 

New!  Mommy & Me / Daddy & Me classes (ages 5-8)

Two (2) Sessions available:

Sunday, June 24 -1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Tuesday, Aug 7 – 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Parents, here is your chance to create a special memory. Spend a creative session with your child creating a memorable piece of pottery. Projects will be displayed or create your own. Parents will assist their kids and kids may assist their parents. All guaranteed to make it a fun time. You will also be treated to pizza and a soft drink on us.

Fee:  $25 per parent/child. Reservations are required so act now to reserve your space.

4. Mugs/Tumblers Etc.

Saturday, June 23rd

9:30 am-12:00 pm

Ages 7-12

Use hand building techniques to create cylinders that can be transformed . Add a handle for a food safe mug, add special effects for a fun tumbler for drinking, holding pens and pencils, hair accessories, toothpaste/toothbrush, or simply use your imagination for how and where to use your clay creation.

Fee:  $25 per student.  Fee includes all supplies needed to create and finish the project.

5. Green Man / Garden Face

Sunday July 8th and 15th

Two (2) consecutive Sundays

1:00 pm – 3;30 pm

Ages 10-16

Create a sculptural nature fantasy spirit out of clay. Learn to sculpt the facial features and embellish with leafs, flowers and vines to create a face that captures the beauty of nature.

All materials included

Fee: $35 per student

 

 

 

 

 

Programs For Ages 13 to 16

1. Teens Introduction to the Pottery Wheel (Ages 13-16)

 

Class runs for four consecutive Fridays. Call to request a four week session of your choosing at either 10:00 am – 12:30 pm or 1:00 pm -3:30 pm.

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at throwing pottery on the potter’s wheel, here’s your chance. Learn the basic techniques to prep your clay, center it on the potter’s wheel and form it into your own piece of art. Each student will learn how to trim their pieces and ready them for initial firing. During the 4th session, each student will glaze paint their pieces and get an introductory discussion on kilns and firing.

Fee:  $80 per student

4. Teen Clay Club

Sign up for either a four (4) or eight (8) consecutive Fridays from 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm starting June 15th:

This is an open studio format where participants may choose to sign up for one four (4) week session or both for an 8 week session.

  • June 15 – July 13 (will not meet on July 6th)
  • July 20 – August 10

Bring a friend(s) and learn the key hand building techniques during week 1 and then explore your imagination in weeks 2, 3, and 4 using the techniques you learned to create your own piece of art.

Each meeting is 2 1/2 hours, and you are free to use that time any way you choose: Create/Design, trim, glaze, etc..

Participants are required to purchase their own clay (discounted at $25 per 50 lb box). Tools, glazes and firing included in fee.

Fee: $80 for a four (4) week session, $150 for the eight (8) week session
