Trial Pottery Classes

Wheel-throwing:

Always wanted to try your hand at creating pottery on the potter’s wheel, or just want to spend time with someone having some fun, try Riverbottom’s Trial Wheel Throwing Pottery Class. Your session lasts 2 hours and Riverbottom supplies all you need, including hands-on-instructions, clay, tools, and equipment. We even trim and glaze your pieces for you. Your hands-on experience with one of our instructors will guide you through all the steps to create 2 to 3 pieces of your very own.
 

  • These classes are scheduled during open studio time. To check availability or schedule a session, please call the studio (2 wk min. lead time required)

  • Includes instruction, clay, firings, and glazing.

  • Fee: $50 per person
     

Hand-building:

If wheel throwing is not your thing, try building your own unique piece of pottery using hand building techniques. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the various techniques of pinch potting, slab and coil building. Create unique wall decor, nature imprinted plates, bowls, etc. Your imagination is your only limitation. Your session will last approximately 2 hours and within that time, you will create 2 to 3 pieces. The fee includes instruction, clay, glazes, firings, and finishing.
